It’s a tradition to spend some time pondering, looking back over where we have been this past year.
There has been this reoccurring thought in my mind and heart that nags at me this time of year.
We just celebrated Christmas and what did we take away from that?
The greatest thing since creation happened when God became flesh!
God told His people hundreds of years in advance of this wonderful and miraculous event, but when He came, who knew? Who was expecting Him? The Magi! They knew this Awesome King was born! These guys are believed to be descendants from the days of Daniel while he served in exile. Hundreds of years earlier!
But they were looking, they were expecting, they were ready!
But when He came, we know how that went. The people happy that He was teaching and healing them, but it seems that no one could understand why He came!
Today people are still forgetting why He came. And the sad matter of forgetting is that the truth is lost.
Sin was and is our problem. The problem between God and all humanity!
So when we forget about that and the seriousness of it, will we remember that He is coming again? Will we be ready?
These last few moments of 2025, are you ready if tonight is the night He will come?
Are you expecting and looking for the signs? Are the people you love ready?
Peter tells us that God is not slow in keeping His promises, but He is patient not wanting anyone to perish but come and repent- turn back to Him and be saved.
For God so loves us that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him, they shall not perish! But have everlasting life! John 3:16
This is the Good News my friends, it’s my prayer that none of you miss it!
