Our Mission & Vision

“To love God with all our heart and make fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.”

East Tipp Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. You can learn, serve, and grow at East Tipp Baptist Church.

This mission was being fulfilled from the very beginning days of the Church:

Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day – about 3,000 in all. All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to pray. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity – all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. Acts 2:41-47 NLT

We:

  • Teach from the Bible and encourage life-long learning
  • Spend time together, seeking to build and strengthen relationships
  • Worship and pray together, and open our lives to the work of the Holy Spirit
  • Invest our lives in the lives of our friends, relatives, neighbors, coworkers, etc., who are far from God, seeking to draw them closer to Him
  • Serve our community by using our resources to meet the needs of people

We know when we are hitting the target of our mission when East Tipp  is characterized by:

  • Fellowship opportunities that lead to deeper involvement and relationships.
  • Learning resources that develop the skills and knowledge of believers.
  • Outreach and evangelism training, direction, and opportunities.
  • Worship experiences that inspire, awe and equip for a life of devotion to God.
  • Service that meets needs, offered to anyone in need by the church as a whole, smaller groups of believers, and individual Christians.
